Manufactured during the height of the Great Depression in Kalamazoo, Michigan, this instrument is an excellent piece of Gibson history.
This banjo is a prime candidate for a vintage collector or a builder looking for an authentic prewar Gibson rim assembly ("pot") for a 5-string bluegrass conversion.

stamped clearly on the inside of the wooden rim, definitively dating this instrument to 1935.
• Peghead: Features the classic 1930s Gibson
"snakehead" profile with the iconic, original white silkscreened script logo reading "The Gibson". True to the quirky manufacturing of the budget-friendly TB-00 model, the logo is factory-printed upside down at the base of the peghead.
