Here is a great sound and easy playing 1965 Gibson RB-250 Mastertone Banjo with a nice hardshell case. The pot assembly is completely factory, and retains its original Faulkner flathead banjo tone ring. It has that classic RB-250 flathead sound with all the power anyone would need and a sweet mahogany tone. I do not know the maker of the maple neck they did a excellent job and in my opinion they kept the original peghead overlay and they also transferred the original serial number to the back of the headstock and also stamped it in the rim. It has also had a maple edge installed very professionally to the top of the rim to fill the gap as it came from the factory with a thin rim and it is a perfect fit to the ring.
I believe this originally was a tenor or a plectrum RB-250 model. It features Shaller D tuners which work great, spikes at 7th and 9th frets, new GHS JD Crowe Studio strings, Remo USA head and Frank Neat 5/8 bridge. I do have a video available for sound sample. It would possibly play as good with a .656 bridge, the third and fourth strings on the last three friends do not clear past the Mastertone mark which could easily be remedied, by a fret press or higher bridge, I will leave that option to the new owner, asking $2699 cash in the local area in person and would also entertain a trade for a Martin guitar, or Gibson Mastertone banjo of equal or lesser value. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions.
