I have been told that I have the best Banjos on the Internet. I consider myself to be not only a decent Banjo Player, but a banjo scholar. I have been playing and collecting since 1976 and have owned several of the Gibson Granada reissue banjos and this incredible Grandee is as good tone wise as the Gibson reissue models. If you ask the legendary banjo player, teacher, setup genius, and designer, Marc Horowitz was a teacher of Bela Fleck, and banjo legend. He feels that the tone of the Grandee is superior to the Gibson reissues. Marc was instrumental in the design of the banjo with Goldtone. On a phone call with Marc, he raved about it so convincingly that I had to order one just to check it out. When I got it in my hands I was floored. i am selling it for my cost. They sell new for $3,000. It is as new, mint as is the original hard shell case. Why buy anything else? If it was made in the USA like Huber, Deering, Yates, Bishline , etc. it would be competitive with all of the major makers, mentioned and list for $6,000. It’s the only banjo you will ever need. In addition to it’s phenomenal tone, it is absolutely beautiful.
