I bought this Gibson Mastertone banjo new in Nashville in 1976 after an extensive, enjoyable search, and I had it signed by Earl when he came to the Red Light Café in Atlanta around 2010. I enjoyed playing it for many years, but I became a clawhammer player in the early Aughts, and now play openbacks. While there are a few scratches (pictured), the banjo plays and sounds great. Other than the head, the parts are original. Hard shell case included.
