This a Mark Platin built 1974 Heirloom. It was built for Dr. Johnson who played this banjo for over 59+ years 30 of which were with the Okey Dokey Banjo Band, Dr.Johnson is also a two time inductee in the American Banjo Hall Of Fame. I have the original case and its provenance is all established. I spoke to Mark Platin 10 years ago upon receiving this Historical Musical Artifact and he remembers Dr.Johnson and the build, he was also inducted in the HOF as a benefactor as well, he is a major reason the American Banjo Hall of Fame was moved from Guthrie Ok to Oklahoma City, if you have any questions please drop me a message
