Kyle Smith made high quality resonator banjos in his Strawberry Plains, TN shop in the early 2000s. This particular one has a Tony Pass “Lost Timbre” rim, as well as a maple neck and resonator finished in glossy black lacquer (I will post better pictures on a more overcast day). The ebony fretboard has the inlay pattern largely associated with the Gibson Style 1 instruments, and it just received new frets from Casey Sullivan, who is known for his great finish work with Huber Banjos.
The banjo has a flathead tonering stamped with the letter “C” as it’s only identifying marker. Please let me know if you know what this means.
Comes shipped in a TKL arched hardshell case. Thanks for looking and please reach out with any questions.
