This is an excellent instrument crafted by one of the most respected makers of recent years. This particular Vintage 35 model is constructed of Maple. It has its namesake Vintage 35 Tonering, wish along with all the other hardware, is nickel plated. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood, so no international sales on this one I’m sorry to say. Tuners are non D-tuner Keiths, which work very nicely.
This banjo was definitely used but far from abused. The finish is slightly worn off on the back of the neck on the treble side of first position. There is some noticeable but not substantial fretware on the frets in that area as well. The finish has kind of bubbled around third position on the treble side of the neck. Cheet-A-Keys were installed and they work very well. Normally I’d sell them separately but they left substantial indentation in the finish so I elected to leave them on. I will knock $100 off the sale price if the buyer does not want them.
Comes in a very nice AVS by TKL case. Thanks for looking and please reach out with any questions.
Also, if you are considering purchasing a Sullivan banjo, I am also offering a 2005 Sullivan Greenbrier for sale on Banjo Hangout as well.
