This is a beautiful Wildwood Artist open back banjo with a Soloist neck from March 6, 1982. The banjo is in exceptional playing condition with perfect (from my perspective) action, ease of playability and beautiful tone. I am very reluctant to part with it but need the finances at this time. The only blemish that I am aware of is some of the varnish over the mother of pearl on the headstock has cracked and peeled off (see the square box and part of the other design). The neck is gorgeous, the wood is beautiful, everything else is really just astounding. It does have a mother of pearl "L" on the heel cap which was added for the name of the person who ordered it. I have not polished the metal on the rim or arm guard, but it could be polished. Railroad spikes are installed at 7th, 9th and 10th frets. Includes original hard case and genuine leather strap, both in good shape. A respected Kentucky bluegrass player and Mastertone owner has commented on the banjo's beautiful tone. It needs to be with someone who will play her often and well! For more pictures or questions, please message me through this website.
