With carved heel and head stock, this is a nicely crafted banjo. Upgrades include a clamshell tailpiece, Shubb Fifth String Capo and Ebony Compensated Bridge. All hardware is gold, except for the custom etched armrest which has lost it's gold finish.
The banjo has a nice bright tone, and plays well up and down the neck with no buzz. The wood is in great condition with no dings or wear spots on neck, rim or resonator. Two truss rods allow you to adjust the action, but it's set up pretty nicely as is. Head is a relatively new 5-Star and strings a D'Addario lights.
I'm selling this instrument because I have four others and hate to see it sit in its case (a fitted TKL included in this purchase) all alone. There is no seriel number on this instrument, and I've contacted Samick about its age ( I bought it used 5 years ago), which they believe is roughly around 1996.
