Vintage Gold Star G12W banjo made by Tokai in Japan in 1980. A finely crafted maple banjo with a centre stripe, curly maple veneer, ebony fingerboard, wreath inlays and a sand-cast bronze archtop tonering. There are slight signs of age, but these are minimal (see photos).
Following a thorough cleaning, the instrument has been reassembled, fitted with new strings and a Dotson 5/8" bridge.
With its new setup, the banjo sounds fantastic. It has incredible power and a wonderful bell-like tone! It comes in its original hard case with instrument certificate, key and accessories.
