Here is a excellent sounding and playing original 1990 Gibson RB-250 Mastertone Banjo with its original "The Gibson" HSC and paperwork. This has all the hallmarks of the great Greg Rich era of Gibson banjos, all matching numbers from the original Kulush AFP Flathead banjo tonering, to the rim writings. A great feeling and playing neck, the banjo is Factory original with no repairs with the exception of American Banjo Company head, Snuffy Smith 5/8 bridge, spikes at 7-10 frets and a new set of GHS JD Crowe stage strings. This Mastertone is very powerful with a sweet mahogany tone, this in my opinion is as good as it gets for a Greg Rich era banjo. It does have some patina on the metal and some play where on the back of the resonator as shown in photos.
