This 2003 flangeless MC-150R is convertible to a powerful openback if you are more interested in old-time playing; just pop off the resonator and mounting brackets and you're in business. The MC-150R includes a 3/4" hard maple rim with a matching flathead tone ring, planetary-gear tuning machines, and 5th string railroad spikes at the 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12th frets.
Also includes a hard shell case. The blemishes on the case are bits from the stickers that I removed.
It is currently set up as a bluegrass banjo, but if desired, I can include a used Remo Renaissance head and a “no-knot” style tailpiece (uninstalled, or converted to an open-back for an extra $100).
