This is an authentic Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard from the highly sought-after late-1980s Greg Rich era. The original Gibson label identifies the instrument as an Earl Scruggs Standard and is dated December 18, 1989.
The banjo features a beautiful figured curly maple neck and resonator, ebony fingerboard with Hearts & Flowers inlay, Mastertone styling, and nickel-finished hardware.
The figured maple on this particular banjo is especially attractive, with beautiful flame/curly figuring throughout the neck and resonator.
Included with the banjo is the hard-shell case shown in the photographs.
