I've decided to part ways with my amazing little Buckbee banjo made in the 1880's. I bought it from someone who had it set up and confirmed as Buckbee made under a different name, which was common for Buckbee's back then. As a 100+ year old instrument, it's had some repairs, but the neck is straight, tuning keys work fine, pot is in great condition with a nice patina on the metal and new hide head. It is strung up with light gauge nylgut strings, which gives it a nice full sound but still with good attack. Overall it's a real nice old timey sound played fingerstyle or clawhammer. I have a video in the "more info" section to give a better idea of the sound.
The diameter of the pot is ~10 3/4" but sounds like a standard 11" to my ear, with a scale length of about 25 3/4"
