Vintage MIJ Iida Model 239 gold plated banjo- circa 1970's.
This was Iida's top-of-the-line "Masterclone" flathead banjo! It's "only" in good condition, due to needing a good set-up, and due to a pretty good amount of wear on the gold plating on the armrest/tailpiece. This one's still a looker though, and I've restrung it with a set of brand new strings, tightened the head in spots, lowered the tailpiece a bit- and, replaced the bridge with a Steve Huber bring that brings the tone on out.
Spikes professionally installed at 7 & 9...
I am no setter-upper, and more could be done to max this vintage five out...
