1961 Vega Pete Seeger long-neck banjo with original Vega branded hardshell case. The dowel stick has the stamped serial number matching the ink stamp on the Vega yellow Pete Seeger label. Completely original with the exception of the bridge, strings and new Remo Weatherking head.
There are a few small finish chips on the back of the neck and at the top of the headstock. Some of the black finish has worn off on the bottom of the rim. The metal hardware is bright and and shiny. The frets are in great playing condition showing very little wear , one capo spike at the 12th fret. The locking case latch is not working, it is missing the "U" on the tab that inserts into the lock.
