Description
Sullivan Banjos made 17,000 banjo necks for Gibson on top of supplying Gibson Banjos with tone rings. A Sullivan Banjo is an extraordinary top quality banjo and the fact they made so much for Gibson speaks volumes to their building quality. This is a Deluxe Left Handed Banjo that is in great shape and set up and ready to go.
This has a 5/8 inch maple shell and a curly maple neck and resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Wreath Inlay Pattern. There is white and checkerboard binding on each side of the banjo which gives it a classy and fancy appearance. This is truly a nice Lefty Banjo.
The hardware is nickel and all original and includes a one piece flange and a 20 hole Mastertone tone ring. The tailpiece is a Presto and I want to mention that the tongue or flap of the tailpiece fell off but it is in the case. I could put it back on if you want, that is easy.
The banjo would be over $4000 new and this is basically new. This also comes in a nice hardshell case.
Condition
The banjo is in great shape. The hardware is clean with basically no signs of use. All the finish is clean and the fretboard and frets are in good shape also.
This is set up with a Frosted Head and a Grover Bridge with Huber strings. The banjo is properly set up and it is ready to go. This is going to thrill some Left Handed Banjo Player delivering a top quality and attractive professional quality banjo.
