**I am updating and modifying this ad at request of E. Sullivan: his shop did turn the wood rim and supply the ring- but for a Sullivan Banjo, not this Gibson copy. I had owned this banjo previously and liked it, so I repurchased it after having sold it. I believed I remembered the guy I first bought it from saying that Eric made this banjo for him. I have been corrected regarding this, and sincerely want to honor Sullivan and also present this copy in the most factual way that I know.**
This one of a kind banjo, maple with a Davis mahogany neck, features premium components, including fine quality Sullivan ring and rim.
This rim in Red Maple is THE original rim in the Sullivan Legend Series, numbered LS75 001, and is still featured on the Sullivan Banjo website. This ring- the Sullivan Professional Flathead- was also THE tone ring in that original LS configuration.
This copy banjo also sports a Davis mahogany neck (no spikes or sliding capo) with "Gibson" on the headstock, Flying Eagle inlay, a nice White Cross truss rod cover, Mastertone inlay at 21st fret, Dotson bridge; and, all new Prucha hardware, and an Old Granada style resonator with concentric purfling rings.
As expected, this banjo sounds fabulous and has the looks to go with it! Ships well packed and insured in a TKL case, also in excellent condition.
Reasonable offers welcome!
Thanks for looking!
