Description
Frank Neat is one of the top builders of banjos that the world of Bluegrass Banjo has seen. He has produced a few versions of a Ralph Stanley custom banjo.. This is the Stanleytone 60th Anniversary. The banjo is all original and in fantastic shape and the head is signed by Ralph Stanley and his band.
This has a curly maple neck and resonator with a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a Wreath inlay and includes 60th Anniv at the 7th fret and Stanleytone on the neck block. There is white and checkered binding on each side of the neck and resonator.
The hardware is gold and includes a no hole archtop tone ring and a 2 piece flange.
This banjo is gorgeous and plays and sounds incredible. This includes a TKL archtop hardshell case.
Condition
This banjo is very clean. The finish is clean all the way around the banjo. The frets and fretboard look untouched. The banjo has spikes at frets 7 and 9. Even the gold is complete and not worn. The case is clean inside and out.
Set up
The head is a plastic head and is set to 90. This has a Kat eyes bridge and new Huber strings. This has the full and gorgeous sound that one would expect out of a banjo like this and has been set up.
