Watauga County Fretless Mountain Banjo #747 purchased directly from John Peterson of Todd, North Carolina.
All in black walnut, standard scale, neck has brass dot indicators with a brass overlay on the first 5 frets plus a frailing scoop. Headstock features a ‘man in the moon inlay’ plus friction tuners. I upgraded the 5th string tuner to a violin-style tuner (the original friction tuner is included) and there is a railroad spike at the 7th fret. Nylgut strings. Plays great, has a wonderful tone. Comes in a soft case from Elderly Instruments. Only played a little, no significant wear. More pictures available at: dropbox.com/sh/ra9apl26layy10v...3HQa?dl=0
