Very fancy late 1880's/early 1890's John H. Parker banjo. Dowel stick stamped on all four sides "John H. Parker, Montreal, The Perfection, #647". It's very obviously a Fairbanks/Cole banjo used and repurposed by Parker. Has really fancy inlay work around the rim, beautiful pearl work on the fingerboard, and a beautiful pearl rose in the peghead. Also has a metal tone ring you can see underneath the hide on the inside.
11.5" pot, 25.75" scale, original hide head. Really wonderful deep, warm, and tubby sounding banjo.
