Here is one from my past! This banjo was made by both Mike Ramsey and myself in his Chapel Hill, NC shop in approx. 2005. He had an original Kyle Creed in his shop at the time and we loosely reproduced it together x2. We both kept one. I remember tracing the creed inlays and cutting these out as close as I could to the originals. Mike CNC cut the Kyle Creed inlay. A highly memorable experience that set our friendship for years to come. This was the last steel string banjo I ever made. I had spent perhaps 10 years before this time completely obsessed with making steel string open back banjos…. Until I was introduced to the instruments that predated the modern banjo. This is a special banjo on many accounts.
