I have played it a total of about 5 hours and the rest of the time it has been safe in it’s case. Folkway Music of Canada commissioned this Folkway Custom 5 string banjo from Ian Pattison of Guelph, Ontario. With simplified appointments, wooden tone-ring, renaissance head.
It's a lovely frailer, with thumb-scoop, light weight build, great looks, and a warm and responsive tone.
Maple neck and rim, dual coordinator rods, chromed hardware, and no-knot tailpiece. Gun-oil finish, Gotoh tuning machines, and bone nut. Padded Folkway Music gig bag included.
