‘The Dayton’ banjo ukulele, unusual, rare, well-appointed, good volume, lovely tone. Check out a video tour here - youtu.be/WJ7oOp0OGjI Manufactured in Dayton, Ohio in the 1920s by the Dayton String Instrument Company, patented and sold by Charles B. Rauch. Features ebony fingerboard, pearl inlays, high quality construction and original hardware.
This informative web site noted below warrants a visit.

“Rauch also had a successful teaching business there and conducted the Dayton Mandolin Club.  In addition to banjos Rauch made and sold most fretted instruments. Rauch launched the “New Construction Dayton Banjos” which had 12" hoops and were fitted with a round metal perchpole and an extension fingerboard.  The 5 string hoops were turned from 12 wood blocks glued in 3 layers.” vintagebanjomaker.com/dayton/4594323404

This instrument was given a complete cleaning and polish, light fret dress, new calfskin vellum (head), ebony nut and set up with a Grover bridge and Martin fluorocarbon strings. Note some separation in the wood block construction (see photo). It is stable though and solid. I’ve no concerns about it being great playing tunes for another 100 years. It is all set up to play. No case included but optional high quality case (photo) available. I ship USPS insured Priority domestic, double boxed and well-protected - Continental shipping $65. Other destinations check with me on a shipping quote. I’m an experienced international shipper. Please write me with questions or for additional photos. I honor timely returns for domestic buyers. That’s how I like to shop. Thanks or looking. Corey
