This may not be the best place to offer this example as it’s value as a folk art piece I believe, is higher than it is as a musical instrument. This is hand made and the neck and dowel stick are ONE piece of wood. Insane. The neck showed obvious signs of draw blade in use by the maker. The pot is very reminiscent of the Titlon configuration but without the means to tighten the head as can be seen on the Tiltons… * see the included pics for the original Tilton for comparison. Leather tailpiece!! I’m thinking the maker saw a Tilton for $8 bucks somewhere and decided to whittle one for himself…Very cool. I bought it via auction specializing in American Folk Art.
