This '63 Folk Ranger plays great, the neck is straight and the frets are in good shape. I has a maple rim and neck. The fretboards on these are stained maple as well. Cosmetically, it's got stories I'm sure. There's a small piece missing after the last fret which has no effect on playability. If you need a great old Vega you can carry anywhere, camping...The Folk Ranger has a raised bead shaped onto the top of the rim which acts as its "tone ring". It's a woodie, as they say. It's a full 26 7/8" scale. The Waverly tuning pegs and Grover 5th string tuner work like new. The Waverlys are the same Martin used on their 17 Series guitars in the 50's and 60's. There's no case. I carried it in an old duffle bag. It weighs around 4 pounds.
