SS Stewart American Princess model banjo. It had a new Jeff Menzies goat skin head, Nylgut 2B light strings, and an untopped maple bridge. It has a beautiful action, zero degree neck angle, and has a very nice tone. It has a 10” head and a very comfortable 24” scale length. This was my travel banjo for about 2 years, and it is the right size for tuning to G or A while still fitting in an airline overhead bin!
As to condition, there are minor consmetic blemishes from 130 years of play wear. One of the peghead ears was cracked, but has been soundly repaired and is barely detectable. The banjo plays very easily and sounds very rather nice. The peg head tuners are original, with the 5th string tuner being a modern geared replacement.
Shipping will be an additional $70-80 dollars depending on location. I will ship, just let me know where you are located.
