This five-string banjo was made by Mark Hickler. It is made for traveling with two removal bolts to release the neck. I am terrible at identifying woods but I think it is Maple. His website is found at hicklerbanjo.com with a video at youtube.com/watch?v=bZaAq3Rp6MY
