This is an American Made Mitch .38 Special 5 string Banjo.  This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

Mitch Meadors is building Banjos in America and is making some truly professional quality cannons.  This banjo includes his special .38 Special Tone Ring which is designed to replicate the Pre War Banjo Tone.

This has a Block Maple Shell with a Curly Maple Neck and Resonator.  The hardware is nickel and all original.  This includes a One Piece Flange, One Piece Armrest, .38 Special Tone Ring and Presto Tailpiece.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Bowtie inlay pattern.  The headstock has a Hearts and Flowers inlay along with the Mitch logo.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.

This is a great looking American Made Banjo that has some true tone and power.  This banjo delivers more at $2499 then some banjos that cost twice as much.

Condition

This is in fantastic shape.  The finish on the resonator looks great with almost no sign of use period.  The neck and fretboard are both clean with ultra clean frets.  There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets.  The hardware looks incredible as well.  The only wear seems to be some very light surface scratching on the face of the headstock which can only be seen up close and in a certain angle of lighting.  This is a really clean banjo with a clean case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  This has the original Remo frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Sosebee bridge and is set with correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action feels great.  This banjo plays great and sounds incredible.
