This banjo is in excellent condition. It has a black custom head, Prucha Kershner tailpiece (will include original Deering true-tone piece with purchase) and was re-fretted with EVO frets. All hooks and nuts were replaced during a complete set up in May by a reputable Portland shop. This banjo has a warm tone and fast action. Mahogany neck/peg head and resonator, maple pot and ebony fretboard. Truly a beautiful professional instrument. Comes with a brand new Deering hard shell tenor case. This banjo has been discontinued by Deering, but falls between the Sierra and the Calico in build quality and components. The finish is gloss and is a 9 out of 10- with no scratches and very little oxidation on the chrome components standard for itís age. It was built in the 1983 And Iím the second owner. This is a unique and beautiful, high-end, handmade (in the USA) lifetime banjo. Thanks for looking.
