Gibson RB250 Mastertone Resonator Banjo. Serial number 118895 indicating made in 1967 in USA but inlays are not "Bow Tie but "3 Neck "so could be from 1970's
Gold Plated hardware rather than nickel plated. Engraved "X" pattern, Fiddle Head Stock,Style 3 Neck Inlays, Keith Tuners, Ebony Finger Board, Mahogany Finish, RB (Regular Banjo) neck, Flathead Tone ring, 2 Piece Flange.
This banjo is in excellent condition and has a delightful tone. There are some marks on the base of the neck heel on both sides where the resonator slot meets the neck heel. The banjo case is original and shows signs of wear and repair.
This banjo was purchased by me in 2012 and was formally owned by Jim Stull of JLS banjos. Sadly he died in October 2009. He developed the JLS tone ring and was a well known luthier with a passion for banjos.
With the current COVID situation I appreciate that viewing is challenging but I strongly recommend viewing when possible.
