Vega pot and parts set with a 5-string Lyon & Healy Mystic banjo neck with mother of pearl inlay and carved heel, characteristic of Lyon & Healy models made in Chicago in the late 1890s.
This banjo was purchased as-is, in Chicago in the late 1970s. Note movable 5th string capo and Keith banjo tuners. Replaced head, set neck, refit bridge, and set-up in 2009. Purchase price includes hardshell banjo case.
Please reference photos of resonator and backside of neck, which bear a number of scratches. There is an area of wear to the varnish in the middle of the resonator. One section of tortoise binding measuring 9 1/2” missing from the rear edge of the resonator.
