Fine early RK model no longer offered. "Sea shell" inlays like old pre-war Recording Kings. Thin rim was shortened on CNC machine by a luthier to add a pre-war Gibson 11" tone hoop, as used in old sub-Mastertones. Style 3/75 mahogany resonator was replaced with a like-new Asian Fender (I think?) resonator in the old pre-war sunburst stain pattern, for aesthetic reasons - bought on BHO. This banjo was made in the days when RK made ONE PIECE banjo necks instead of the current laminated style in the lower number models. Original HSC as far as I know (bought banjo on BHO several years ago). Banjo "cracks" with a tight head and a thin bridge. Lighweight banjo for tired backs. A very fine banjo, very well made and finished. Serial # 0000021. No trades, I just bought an old Mastertone and I'm tripping over banjo cases now -- must make room.
