This is a super cool ODE Style C that has a vintage Gretsch Case.  The Banjo has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

ODE is one of the finer banjo companies that has operated in the United States.  This was made near the end of the ODE era and ODE Banjos ultimately evolved to become OME Banjos.  This is a professional quality banjo that was made right here in the USA and has aged very well.

This has a multi ply maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator.  The hardware is nickel and this is all original.  The fretboard is ebony and has a professional inlay job down the board.  The headstock also has some inlay including the ODE logo.  There is binding on each side of the neck, neck heel and resonator.  This has a one piece flange and a full size 20 hole tone ring with large holes.

This has a lot of twang and also a lot of soul.  There is a community of people who obsess over ODE Banjos and this is a great example why.  This also includes a Vintage Gretsch Hardshell Case.

Condition

This has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  We disassembled the banjo and buffed the hardware and gave it a really nice shine. The wood has been waxed and the fretboard oiled which really makes this banjo glow.

There is some checking on the face of the headstock and the neck heel which is pictured.  The binding has a handful of small splits but they are almost unnoticeable.  The first few frets show some wear which is normal and cause no buzzing.  The rest of the frets are clean.  There are spikes in the 7th and 9th frets.

This is overall in really good shape and the hardshell case is also in good condition.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.  This has a new Remo frosted head which has been set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Kat eyes bridge and this is set with correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely.  This also is adjustable.

This is a professional grade vintage American made Banjo.  We have this cleaned up and set up and this is going to really make somebody smile.
