This is a gorgeous 2009 Terry Baucom 5 string Banjo that was made in America.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

Capture the sound of the “Duke of Drive”, Terry Baucom! Designed with Terry's hard driving bluegrass style in mind, this incredible American Walnut banjo features a light weight bell bronze 20 hole Deering tone ring. Terry also chose the traditional Deering neck shape for optimum comfort and for the fast and accurate fretting demanded by his hard-driving playing style.

This has a hard rock maple shell.  The neck and resonator are walnut and this has an ebony fretboard.  The hardware is nickel and this has a special Deering 06 Bell Bronze tone ring which was made for the Terry Baucom.  The fretboard has really attractive inlay and there is w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  This is all original and is a powerful banjo.  This also has a Deering engraved tailpiece and one piece armest and the original Deering hardshell case.  This is a fabulous tribute to one of the finest banjo players of our generation.

Condition

This is in absolutely gorgeous condition.  The hardware has been cleaned and has a really nice glow.  The neck and resonator have been waxed which has brought out a nice shine.  The fretboard looks great and overall the frets are in really good shape.  There is some fretwear on the first few frets but the rest look perfect.  There is no buzzing from this light fretwear.  This is in great shape and also has a clean original case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is set with correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and that action is set nicely.  This is also adjustable.  This is a fantastic design that has been professionally cleaned and set up to look, play and sound it's best.
