For your consideration is a 1949 (as best as can be determined) TB-150 (S/N #6484-82) converted to an RB-250-style Mastertone with as-new hard case. The work was done by Clancy Mullins of Johnson City, TN. The rim was cut and a JBS (Sloan) tone ring installed. Included is a Presto tailpiece and new armrest. Note that at my request, Mr. Mullins fashioned the neck such that the width of the fingerboard at the nut is the same as that which you find at the second fret of a standard neck. A picture with ruler illustrates this. I found that this helped me pull off cleanly, and though the neck is slightly wider as you move up, it didn't impact my playing negatively. Please note that the Keith tuners pictured will be included in the sale, as well as the original tenor neck, tuners, and hoop. The banjo has been barely played in the 2 years I've owned it, so it's fair to describe the neck and frets in as-new condition. The flange is level and a bit polished by Mr. Mullins. I am a guitar player and hope this banjo can find a home where it will be called to do what it does best. Asking price- $2,800.
