I have very interesting Goodtime Americana (12 inch pot) with a ton of real nice functional and aesthetic upgrades. Not looking to sell, but potentially looking to trade for something 11" and bright, possibly with a tubaphone, electric, white laydie or dobson ring. I currently have a 12 inch bart reiter for my oldtime steel needs and recently got a Romero Gourd so my nylon needs are satisfied there. I would like to trade the Goodtime for something that cuts better for grassier tunes.
So - here's what I've done:
1) Brass plate on 1st through 7th fret making it semi-fretless (with side markers where the frets used be making playing a lot easier).
2) Rosewood headstock veneer (matching the bowtie inlays/covering the ugly goodtime headstock.
3) Gotoh planetary tuners with really nice black rubber buttons (you can have original white pearloid ones too if you want)
4) No Knot Tailpiece
5) Balch Goat Skin Head
6) Grover 1/2 inch bridge (with 2 feet instead of three for nylon)
It currently has labella nylon strings on it, but sounds great with steel too. I've put a lot of love and $$$ into it as you can see above, but would be willing to part with it for the right trade. If you're interested, email me some pics/video to email@example.com and I can get you some sound clips too.
