I posted a thread some time ago about a couple of Vegavox IV Plectrums that I have (had, one has been sold). That thread is here -- banjohangout.org/topic/360992. Please look at the thread to see pictures of the banjo before restoration. I've decided to sell the one that I still have. It's the black & white one in the thread. This banjo has been minimally restored by Renee Karnes. She replaced the broken head, reinstalled a couple of missing rhinestone cups & rhinestones, replaced a missing inlay and refreshed the others, replaced a couple of missing resonator thumb screws, fabricated a new truss rod cover.
The yellow factory sticker is missing so I don't know the serial number but I believe this banjo to be from the middle sixties. It originally had two coordinator rods. Those were replaced with a curly maple dowel stick. According to Renee, she and Henry Lea did this to banjos to improve the tone slightly.
Will consider trading for a Martin guitar.
No case but will be well packaged and insured for shipping.
