This is a Streeper banjo, made by Steve Streeper of Arco, Idaho. Steve has made a number of banjos to date, including the one Joey Shann plays with the Dave Adkins band.
It has a Prucha tone ring, tension hoop, flange, and presto tailpiece. Also a Cox 3-ply hard maple rim. It has a mixture of gold plated and nickel plated hardware, making it quite striking in appearance. Of course, the curly maple neck and quilted resonator contribute to the beauty of this instrument. Hearts and flowers inlay adorn the ebony fingerboard, and the banjo has been upgraded to Rickard gold plated cyclone tuners, 10:1 ratio.
As you can hear in the video, this banjo has that bluegrass tone, and is LOUD!
Hard case included. $2,500 or best offer.
