This is my lefty Deering Goodtime Special. This model is just like the Goodtime 2, but with the addition of a lightweight tone ring which gives the banjo more clarity and volume.
The rim is maple, as well as the neck and resonator. The tone is very bright, characteristic of maple banjos. The neck has a very light satin finish, and it plays very smooth. The action is set fairly low, and it plays very easy.
There are a few scratches on the resonator that are barely visible, and the frets have some wear but other than that, it is in very good condition. There are spikes at 7 and 9. The spike at 9 is a little loose, but could easily be fixed.
Also included is a Deering hardshell case. The case doesn't line up perfectly when closing, but once the latches are down, the top and the bottom line up, and it is very secure.
Thanks for looking!
