A beautiful banjo, handcrafted in Minnesota. The thin/deep rim gives it a very full deep tone, while the 11" inch rim and rolled brass tone ring keep the high end well defined. Beautiful woods and high quality raw brass hardware throughout. The finish is a very smooth and comfortable satin. The neck is relatively wide but very comfortable. The color variation in the macassar ebony fretboard is exquisite. It also features a lovely mottled skin head and the unique original 3/4" bridge. Action is medium-high, great for clawhammer, but could easily be brought down with a shorter bridge.
The condition overall is pretty close to as new - a little bit of natural patina on the brass, though it could polish right up if you preferred it to be shining, and there's one tiny nick on one side of the headstock near the 3rd string tuner, which is probably too small to make out in the photos.
I've really enjoyed this banjo, but have to downsize my collection. Feel free to message me with any questions or if you would like to hear a sound clip.
