A Walnut Diamond Point Custom banjo built in 2004 by justifiably renowned builder Jaroslav Prucha. The Diamond Point is one of Prucha’s original design models, not a masterclone. The resonator veneer is book matched with stunning grain. Radiused fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays and capo spikes at 7, 8, 9, and 10. The bindings are black and white with black and white marquetry purfling. Nickel hardware. The overall condition of the banjo is excellent with the exception of a couple of minor dings on the neck, which I have tried to show in a picture.
This banjo feels great to play and sounds wonderful. The quality of workmanship is impeccable, reflecting the fanatical attention to fit and finish for which Mr. Prucha is known. This banjo has it all—exceptional beauty without excessive flash, outstanding build quality, and beautiful sound. In my opinion, banjo building does not get any better than this. My pictures do not do this banjo justice.
HSC included. There is a 54" Huber strap which I will leave on the banjo for an additional $30. I will remove the Nechville armrest shown in the pictures and put the original armrest back on the banjo
Due to advancing years and arthritis, I have abandoned my (admittedly unrealistic) dreams of banjo glory and decided to sell most of my banjo collection. No trades, please. Thanks for looking.
