This model banjo has the inverted Whyte Laydie style tone ring Mylar top banjo head. This banjo has been set up by Jim DeCava of Liberty banjo fame. He is recognized as one of the top banjo specialists in the U.S. The banjo has been set up to be used professionally with the correct tuning machines and tail piece. The original tuners and tailpiece would not allow you to use steel strings and now you can. A brand new hard shell plush lined case is included. The head size is 11 and 3/4 inches. The banjo plays beautifully and sounds great.
