This banjo is a modern take on an 1870’s style fretless banjo. It has a 12” curly red oak rim and a curly English ash neck. 14 through bolt ball end shoes with square nuts. The top of the rim has a 3/16” bead turned into the top of it for a tone ring, with a goat skin stretched over. It’s strung with Nylgut reds for a deep mid range fretless sound. These sound most like gut to me. The three piece neck is strong enough for steel strings as well and is a 25.5” scale length. Comes with hardshell case.
