This is a new banjo made with an 11" Stewart MacDonald Five Star Maple Old Time Banjo Pot and a custom neck crafted by me. These StewMac pots fitted with a classic whyte laydie tone ring retail for $374.00 minus the head and tailpiece. I added a Kershner tailpiece and a top frosted Remo head.
The 3 piece maple neck has a beautiful MOP inlaid fretboard. The peghead overlay and heelcap are Bloodwood. It has knew geared planetary tuners. Scale length is 26 1/4". Width of the fretboard in 1 1/4" at the nut and 2" and the end. The string height is 3 mm above the 12th fret.
The strings sit on a 1/2 compensated bridge. The banjo weighs in at 7.5 lbs.
There is no case, but the banjo will be packed carefully and shipped insured via USPS Retail Ground.
