William Lange made Langstile IV
This banjo is setup for Irish Trad (GDAE) with phosphor bronze strings (12, 18w, 28w, 38w), new Remo Renaissance head, Waverly style tailpiece. It has older geared tuners. It plays great with a perfect tone for trad, and is one of the loudest open backs I have played. I had a 5/16" brass ring made for it to duplicate what would most likely have been originally there.
It has a few noticeable issues which include 2 screw holes in the heel, the rim cap is loose, finish crazed on back of peghead, screw holes in back of peghead, and 2 screw holes on side of rim. There is also some wear to the frets.
I am listing for sale in current condition before I get around to restoration on it.
