I purchased this banjo in January 2014 directly from Ron Stewart in Paoli, Indiana, who personally set it up and shipped it out to me for $4,925. It got played essentially every other day for three years as I was in a local bluegrass band, but it got treated like a queen, very little wear other than normal wear on the head and some surface wear on the resonator. I hardly play anymore and want to give it a new, proud home, someone who will enjoy it as much as I did. It has all-original parts, nothing has been changed or altered except the strings. Comes with Yates strap and Yates case. This model isn't made anymore; it has been discontinued.
Description: mahogany neck and resonator, back of neck kept free of clear-coat for a flat finish/feel, metal distressed to look antique, Waverly ivory tuners, Yates pre-war tone ring, three fifth-string spikes (7th, 8th, & 9th frets), Presto tailpiece
Ron Stewart said of this banjo: "Chris, thanks so much for your interest in our banjos and also the kind words about my playing! As Warren mentioned, I have an RS-75 right now, which I haven't listed yet, that is an absolute MONSTER! It is everything you could want in a banjo period, and I would play this instrument everyday and be as happy as can be!"
