The Electric was Fairbanks flagship model the the scalloped metal tonering that was introduced in 1890. The addition of the ring to the rim gave the banjo it's "electrifying" sound.... this eventually evolved into the fabled "Whyte Laydie" model; #75 stamp present on dowel stick and rim interior. 11-1/2" rim with original hardware; cherry neck has a 25-1/2" scale length, pearl inlay present; reproduction bone friction pegs.
