This unique banjo was put together with used and some new parts AKA Frankenstein banjo. New parts include strings, bridge, tailpiece, geared 5th string tuner and some replacement of a few hooks, nuts and hex lugs. The new/used neck has been refinished and refurbished with 4 vintage friction pegs. Old vintage parts include the rim, rest of metal parts, resonator and skin head. The banjo is all set up and ready to play with low action and a Snuffy Smith bridge. The resonator attaches to the rim with one bolt and is easy to remove and play as an open back. The banjo weighs in at 6 lbs with the resonator attached and 5 lbs without. No case, but the banjo will be packed carefully and shipped insured.
