I have owned this banjo for maybe 15 years. I bought it from an acquaintance who said it was originally assembled in the late 1970s or early 1980s. A few years ago I added a Huber HR30 tonering. I also added a used neck I bought off of BHO. The neck is a Gibson style but is an aftermarket neck (not Gibson). It is a speed neck in that the back of the neck is sanded. The rim is a Yates if I remember correctly. All parts are tarnished to make the banjo look antique but all parts are high quality and in good working condition.
When Huber added the tonering, I had them do a full setup, which included adding a Huber head, a Huber bridge, and a new Huber truss rod cover. I also had them make a custom resonator to match the neck color.
The resonator has developed a few chips over time but the banjo is in very good overall condition. It sounds great and as I said, it was setup by Huber.
I will change out the armrest to a standard armrest before shipping.
I prefer a sale but am willing to entertain trades for a high quality open back clawhammer banjo.
The banjo will come with a hardshell case. If you have questions, feel free to message me.
